Who Am I?

Hi, I'm Pronomita. I completed my B.Tech in the year 2018 and since then I have been working in the DevOps sphere. I come with ~5years of experience across 3 orgs. During these years, I have touched base with multiple aspects in an SDLC system and worked across domains.

Between work and dealing with the quirks of family, I love to cook, read and write about money, personal finance, health and geopolitics. I spend quite some time consuming content on Youtube. Been to almost every cafe in Bangalore and binged 50% of the shows across OTT platforms, so feel free to pick my brain on those :)

  • Develop, debug, and test PowerShell and bash scripts to automate internal change order process for server patch and security updates.
  • Build CI/CD pipeline to automate various deploy process in AWS Environment.
  • Build and manage infrastructure using IAC and Configuration Management tools.

  • Automating infra creation for microservices on Azure Cloud using Terraform.
  • Implemented e2e CI/CD pipelines containerized microservices using Azure DevOps.
  • Deployed and managing services on AKS from provisioning and scaling to logging and monitoring.

Systems Software Engineer II HP Inc Apr 2021 - June 2021

  • Extensively contributed into the design and development of NFR pipelines being used PAN HP
  • Played a leading role in enabling e2e monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, VictorOps & Splunk. This monitoring setup plays a key role in adhering to SLI/SLOs.
  • Mentored incoming Freshers with understanding DevOps and Agile processes

Systems Software Engineer I HP Inc. Aug 2018 - May 2021

  • Developed and deployed an e2e Release Automation Tool in Python for HP's Web Print Platform (An IoT platform composed of ~100 microservices) that has reduced total time to deploy microservices by 80% with zero downtime and least manual intervention.
  • Dockerized & Migrated ~20 microservices (earlier running on AWS EC2 instances) to a Kubernetes Cluster (AWS EKS)
  • Deployed CI/CD pipeline for deploying microservices onto a Kubernetes Cluster.
  • Designed and implemented one click Infra provisioning pipeline for microservices using Terraform with Disaster Recovery and High Availablity. These pipelines are currently being used to enable new and existing infra for HP's Web Print Platform.

R & D Intern HP Inc. Feb 2018 - July 2018

  • Worked on Feature Engineering & Exploratory Data Analysis with a dataset of ~1TB.
  • Data cleaning-structuring, & dimensionality reduction for building predictive analysis model that determines root cause behind printer failures and easiest ways to diagnose the same.
